Senior Architect/Developer
Verilogue’s Information Technology (IT) Department provides the company and its clients with a reliable, scalable and secure technology infrastructure that maximizes operational efficiencies and produces rich and rewarding user experiences. Verilogue is seeking a senior architect/developer to support the delivery of technology solutions for the company and its clients.. Specifically, the Senior Architect/Developer will be responsible for:

• Drive the architectural decisions around technical initiatives
• Develop innovative public and internal-facing applications and services using various frameworks
• Support existing applications
• Gather and document functional and technical design specifications

Key Competencies

• Solid understanding of web application architectures, including the Model, View, Controller design principal
• Proficiency in database design principals as well as advanced SQL skills
• Experience with the following technologies and frameworks:
  • Spring framework, including MVC and Web-Flow components
  • Hibernate
  • JUnit
  • Tomcat
  • HTML and Cascading Style Sheets
  • JavaScript
  • AJAX
  • Subversion
  • MySQL
  • SQL Server
• Familiarity with agile software development methodologies is needed
• Familiarity with network and server administration is a plus
• Experience with embedded multimedia is a plus
• Strong communication, documentation and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other technical field
• 4-8 years of prior software development experience
• 2+ years development experience of high-volume, public-facing web sites
• Ability to flourish in a fast-paced, small-team environment

Compensation

Verilogue provides a base salary, bonus and equity plans commensurate with candidate experience and position requirements.
