Manager, IT (SQL Server DBA)
Verilogue is seeking a Manager, IT (SQL Server DBA) to be responsible for:
- Database design and development
- Database administration including installation, managing backups, scheduled jobs, monitoring, performance optimization, migration strategies, security, etc.
- Writing stored procedures, functions and triggers
- Managing the quality of production data
- Establishing data warehousing and data mining capabilities
- Gathering and documenting functional and technical design specifications
- Developing and testing disaster recovery plans
Position Requirements
- 5+ years of prior SQL Server DBA experience
- Experience maintaining SQL Server database environments for high-volume applications
- Experience with partitioning, replication, multi-level security, clustering, distributed transactions, data warehousing and data mining
- Familiarity with SQL Server 2005 Integration Services, Reporting Services, Analysis Services and Notification Services
- Experience with indexing and full-text indexing
- Excellent T-SQL skills are a must
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical field
- Strong communication, documentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to flourish in a fast-paced, small-team environment
