Controller, Accounting (Business Analyst)
Verilogue is seeking a self-motivated, experienced accounting professional (i.e., Controller) who will report directly to the President and be responsible for:
- Managing the daily operations of the accounting/finance group, including monthly closings, cash management, budgeting, invoicing, revenue recognition, and payroll and commissions
- Audit compliance as well as reporting and analysis
- Managing outsourcing partnerships with Book and Tax accounting partners, including accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
- Leading scorecard initiatives and liaising with senior management to create best practices and standard financial tracking metrics
- Leading and managing relationships with assigned outside vendors, including but not limited to insurance brokers, payroll, HR, government entities and office equipment/supplies
Position Requirements
- CPA required
- At least 7 years experience in Accounting
- Must be extremely detail-oriented and a team player
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills
- Experience with service-sector businesses, specifically within pharmaceutical or healthcare industry a plus
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Big 4 experience/training preferred
- Minimum four (4) year accounting degree required, MBA preferred
