Analyst, IT (Java Developer)
Verilogue is seeking an Analyst, IT to be responsible for:
- Developing innovative public and internal-facing web applications using various open-source frameworks
- Designing and implementing re-usable architectural components
- Supporting existing applications
Position Requirements
- 2-3 years of prior software development experience
- 1+ years development experience of high-volume, public-facing web sites
- Solid understanding of java web application architectures, including the Model, View, Controller design principal
- Familiarity with agile software development methodologies, including Extreme Programming
- Proficiency in database design principals as well as general SQL skills
- Solid UI programming skills, including cascading stylesheets and javascript
- Experience with the following technologies and frameworks:
- Spring framework, including MVC and Web-Flow components
- Hibernate
- JUnit
- Tomcat
- HTML and Cascading Style Sheets
- JavaScript
- AJAX
- JQuery
- Eclipse
- Subversion
- SQL Server
- Windows Server 2003
- Experience with embedded multimedia is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical field
- Strong communication, documentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to flourish in a fast-paced, small-team environment
